Maritimo designed the M500 Offshore around its advanced variable-deadrise hull with the main engines positioned forward for improved longitudinal weight distribution and an efficient approximately seven-degree propeller-shaft angle. The design incorporates Maritimo's signature internal staircase to the enclosed flybridge, a single-level salon and galley, and a three-stateroom, two-head accommodation arrangement for up to six.
Truant is powered by twin Caterpillar C12 705 HP diesel engines with approximately 3,474 hours and is equipped with a Caterpillar 19kW genset.
Her equipment package is particularly noteworthy and includes a Seakeeper Gyro-M8000, Xenta Dynamic Positioning, five-zone Webasto DBW 2010 diesel hydronic heat, Furuno TZ2 navigation system, Cruisair heat/air-conditioning chilled air system, Furuno NXT radar, Starlink, cockpit and aft flybridge(Juliette deck) control stations, composite cockpit decking, extensive fishing equipment and a Nick Jackson 800-lb davit.

Boarding Truant from the stern immediately demonstrates why Maritimo designated this version of the M500 as the Offshore.
The substantial cockpit is equally suited to serious fishing, cruising and entertaining. Composite decking provides a durable, low-maintenance working surface, while an in-floor fish hold, live-bait well, cockpit freezer and dedicated fish-cleaning table provide the equipment expected aboard an offshore convertible.
A cockpit control station gives the operator an excellent vantage point when docking, maneuvering in close quarters or working the boat from aft. The cockpit is further equipped with a Furuno TZ2 display, Icom communications, LED spreader lighting and underwater lights.
From the cockpit, the aft salon entrance leads into an open, single-level main living area. Acacia flooring gives the interior a warm contemporary appearance, complemented by a 55" LG television and Bose Lifestyle entertainment system.
One of Maritimo's signature design features is immediately apparent: instead of requiring guests and crew to access the flybridge from an exterior ladder or staircase, the M500 incorporates a full internal staircase from the salon to the enclosed flybridge.
The galley shares the main deck with the salon, creating a large social area between the cockpit and interior. Quartz countertops, cooktop with oven and microwave provide the principal cooking facilities, while a salon icemaker adds convenience when entertaining.
Moving forward and below leads to the M500's accommodation deck. The factory arrangement provides three staterooms and two heads, accommodating up to six owners and guests.
Returning to the salon, the internal staircase ascends directly into the enclosed flybridge. This is one of the defining areas aboard the M500 Offshore.
The bridge combines the visibility of an offshore convertible with the protection and comfort normally associated with a cruising motor yacht. Maritimo specifically designed the helm to provide a clear view aft into the cockpit, particularly useful when docking or operating the boat offshore. The enclosed bridge also provides lounge seating and a refrigerator, creating another substantial entertaining area. The owner took her to Pacific Marine Center in Anacortes and moved the tournament style helm forward and hard enclosed the aft bulkhead with window and opening door creating a 4 sided hard enclosure.
Truant's navigation package centers around Furuno TZ2 electronics, with two displays at the helm, another in the cockpit and an additional display in a stateroom. Furuno NXT radar, Furuno sounder and Simrad autopilot complement the navigation package.
An aft bridge control station provides another excellent operating position with direct visibility aft.
Outside, Truant is equipped for extended cruising. A Nick Jackson 800-lb davit services a stainless-steel rail/chock arrangement designed to accommodate either two personal watercraft or a dinghy. The current tender is a 2026 West Marine RIB-310 with 2026 Suzuki 9.9 HP four-stroke outboard.
Forward, ground tackle consists of a 70-lb Delta anchor and approximately 200' of chain. A 48" LED forward light bar provides substantial illumination for nighttime operations.
